Gentlemen, start your grills!

fiona Bramzell

Summer is fast approaching which means the aroma of grilled food will soon be filling the air. For many men, summer is their season to cook and showcase their culinary skills. And, while some of the hardiest among us may barbeque throughout the year, many of us prefer to stand by the grill, beer in hand on a balmy summer evening. But what is it about the barbeque exactly that makes some men giddy with excitement? The latest model with all the bells and whistles? The sizzle of the steak as it hits the grill? A Recipe for Family Traditions

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about family recipes and how, despite the multitude of recipes available to us now via the internet, those that we remember from our childhood always hold a special place in our hearts and how important it is to continue the tradition of passing down these recipes from one generation to another. But, it is done and, while it's small (there's only so much you can do with less than 350 square feet!), I'm ready to start filling those shelves! And this is where you come in.... With the business's emphasis on DIY and handmade craft classes (knitting,...

Things are heating up!

fiona Bramzell

Hot enough for ya? Well, things are about to get a lot hotter around here with the flurry of activity going on at the store! Not only have we changed our name to something even more fabulous (and way more descriptive of what goes on here) we also have some exciting classes and workshops coming your way! In addition to the cool half day camps we have scheduled, Origami and Cartooning (not together, although that might be interesting...) I'm thrilled to announce that we're teaming up with local business DIY Kids to bring you an awesome half day camp for...
