It's always a shock to realise that your body just can't do the things it once did! Case in point - I spent a sweaty four hours last week moving things around the store to set up my retail section and my body responded by aching for the next three days straight! But, it is done and, while it's small (there's only so much you can do with less than 350 square feet!), I'm ready to start filling those shelves! And this is where you come in....
With the business's emphasis on DIY and handmade craft classes (knitting, crochet, quilting and soap making all coming your way in September!) I want to focus on selling products that use repurposed, recycled and upcycled materials. So if you, or anyone you know, makes such wonderful things, let me know! I'll also be carrying some awesome DIY kits for making Kombucha, Kefir and other fermented delights plus a selection of ready made fermented drinks and other goodies made by local fermentation fanatics!
And speaking of which, while I've always dabbled in this wonderful kitchen craft (there is always something bubbling away in a warm, dark place in the kitchen much to the delight (?) of my daughter!), I've ramped up my fermenting activities of late. In addtion to making milk Kefir and converting milk Kefir grains to water Kefir grains, thanks to the generosity of a wonderful local women who was giving away her excess grains on Facebook, I'm attempting to grow my own SCOBY! And if you don't know what that is, do a quick Google search and stay tuned for the results which I'll share with you in a future post!
Anyone interested in getting in touch regarding selling crafts or other handmade items, drop me a line at email@example.com. I look forward to seeing the metaphoric fruits of your labours!
